Know this when you are looking through the family cookbooks: Ö Any recipe that existed before 1931 was most likely based on milled local flour (like Daisy) . Why? Wonder Bread was invented in 1931. So that’s a benchmark year for the arrival of processed flour (full of stabilizers and chemicals).
By the way, how thin are your Sand Tarts?
Ö Our flour works best with those old recipes that are expressed in pounds, ounces, capfuls, handfuls, and similar volume measurements.
