It's PIE Time We Had A Contest!

Saturday, July 23rd  2011 A tasty dessert pie competition sponsored by and tasted at Brooklyn Kitchen, 100 Frost Street, yes of course, in Brooklyn New York!   

All proceeds will go to the Greenpoint Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry.

Right here at The Brooklyn Kitchen, July 23rd we’re having a tasty dessert pie competition! We are partnering with our favorite local flour mill, Daisy Flour in PA. Theirs is the oldest continuously operated mill in the US, ca 1765. All proceeds will go to the Greenpoint Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry.

1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be decided by a panel of distinguished judges:

Christina Tosi of Milkbar
Rachel McBride of The Blue Stove Bakery
Ann Kandfield, pastor at the Greenpoint Reform Church
and Roberta Stickler of Daisy Flour.

But the Grand Prize - a Cuisinart Food Processor - will be awarded to the popular favorite. That's right, the Grand Prize Winner will be determined by YOU!

$5 dollars will get you in the door to taste pie, drink beer, and cast a single vote. But after that you can purchase votes for a $1 a piece. Yes! This is a totally corrupt voting system but it doesn't matter! It's all for a great cause.
